Tartan Skirts & Turtlenecks

Hello lovely people. Well the cold weather has certainly hit Melbourne hard and it's time to officially dig out our winter wardrobes. I'm actually quite excited because I love dressing for winter.

I wanted to share the combination of turtleneck sweaters and tartan skirts. I think it creates a fun, 60's retro feel.

I have styled some looks for you below, to help explore this combination for yourself.

Happy shopping.

Fringe Skirts

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter break. I thought what better time to style my cute lace bunny ears than during Easter. I bought them a couple of years back and only recently rediscovered them. I'll have to get them out again during Spring Racing Carnival.

I have styled my bunny ears with a cute fringe skirt which I am obsessed with.  I have attached some other fun fringe skirts at the bottom of this post. The longer options are a great piece for winter, especially styled with a thick knit sweater.

Happy shopping lovely people!

JEANSWEST

Hi lovely people. I am so sorry for being a phantom. Unfortunately my beautiful grandmother passed away. It's been a tough time but it's nice to be back on Dusty Petals. Thanks for your patience.

Today I wanted to share with you a Jeanswest look including jeans from their new 'Best Jeans Ever Prima Collection.'  I have to tell you how incredibly comfortable they are! Check out the new collection here.

I have styled some Jeanswest looks for you below including Jo Mercer shoes, because I absolutely love their new range and I also selected some sunglasses from the very affordable and incredibly cool Quay Sunglasses.

Happy shopping!

Game...Set...Match!

Hi everyone! This time of the year I really appreciate being a Melbourne girl. We are so blessed to have the Australian Open. The positive vibe and relaxed energy throughout the 2 weeks is as good as a tropical holiday.

Since  I was a young girl I would get a ground pass on the first couple of days of the Open and enjoy the amazing weather while hopping between courts. I can still remember being introduced to a very young Rafael Nadal on court 13, he stood out like a sore thumb back then.

Today I wanted to share some fun looks to wear to the tennis. The Australian Open is a casual event, especially during the day. I suggest if you have a ground pass to wear something that doesn't leave too many awkward tan lines. I think it is nice to dress up a little for a night centre court match. I have styled some tennis looks below for both ground passes and night matches.  Remember, you can't leave the house without sunblock and sunglasses.

I have also selected some celebrities spotted in the crowd at both Wimbledon and the Australian Open. You will notice that the Wimbledon dress code is a lot more traditional than the Australian Open.
